Supply Chain Act
Corporate due diligence obligations in the supply chain
Fulfilling human rights and environmental due diligence obligations
Under the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), companies are obliged to comply with human rights and environmental due diligence obligations in their supply chain in an appropriate manner with the aim of preventing or minimising human rights or environmental risks or ending violations of human rights or environmental obligations.
Compliance with human rights and environmental due diligence obligations in the supply chain has become highly relevant for us, and not just since the LkSG came into force.
In addition to quality and price, we also pay attention to safety, health, the environment, social standards and fair business practices. Among other things, we have used the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for action.
With a company size of < 3,000 employees, the legal obligation of the LkSG came into force for us on 1 January 2024. Since this date, we have of course fulfilled all legal obligations.

Supplier sustainability self-assessment
Only together with our suppliers can we advocate responsible behaviour in the supply chain and make our value chain fit for the future.
In addition to ensuring human rights and environmental due diligence, we are therefore dependent on cooperation with our suppliers to achieve our climate targets. Over 90% of THIMM's CO2e emissions are generated in the upstream supply chain.

With the help of a service provider, we collect and assess all information relating to sustainability. Covered areas include, among others, environmental protection, human and labor rights, occupational safety, and the CO₂e footprint.
Based on these data, we create a concrete risk analysis for our suppliers and we jointly develop strategies to achieve our climate goals.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
