Boxes
Large corrugated boxes are often used for transporting and storing large quantities of fruit and vegetables. They are especially stable and offer protection against damage during transport.

Choose sustainable packaging for fruit and vegetables that protects your products and the environment
Let's work together to develop the perfect packaging solution for your business and the environment, tailored to your needs.
THIMM ComBa® coating: The environmentally friendly solution for sliced fruit and vegetables
Chopped fruit and vegetables require packaging that preserves freshness and quality. THIMM's sustainable and recyclable ComBa® coating offers an environmentally friendly solution that replaces plastic packaging.
For example, ComBa®-coated paper protects safely cut melons against leaking and prevents oily salads from soaking into their packaging. This coating is also ideal for juicy pineapple chunks or marinated grilled vegetables.
After use, the emptied packaging can be easily disposed of with waste paper and recycled, promoting sustainability and environmental protection.

Frequently asked questions about our pet food packaging
The main raw material for our fruit and vegetable packaging is corrugated cardboard. This is made from the naturally renewable raw material paper, which is outstandingly sustainable and 100 percent recyclable. All of this packaging can be disposed of easily with waste paper. Our corrugated cardboard packaging for fruit and vegetables thus closes the cycle for paper, a valuable raw material, to great effect.
Special requirements apply to food packaging. We implement these optimally for you and find the right packaging solution. When it comes to fruit and vegetable packaging, we also focus on sustainability. The environmentally friendly ComBa® barrier coating can be used to replace plastic packaging and film coatings, for example. Our certified foodWave® packaging, which is designed for 100 percent safe direct food contact, is also a good alternative when it comes to packaging fruit and vegetables in an environmentally friendly way. Thanks to its outstanding design properties, foodWave® can be used flexibly for almost all types of packaging. Our corrugated cardboard trays for fruit and vegetables, which are also available in a grass corrugated cardboard version, can be used to provide hygienic, well-protected packaging for delicate fruit and vegetables and present them on the shelf in a way that promotes sales. You decide the shape and size of the cardboard tray! Digital laser cutting add a certain creative touch to the presentation of fruit and vegetables. There are no limits when it comes to the design and printing of our corrugated cardboard packaging.
With modern printing technologies such as digital and flexo printing, we design all of our fruit and vegetable packaging individually so that it is perfectly tailored to your brand. We work with you to develop a distinctive design that promotes your product and supports your brand identity. With modern digital printing, you benefit from the greatest possible flexibility and design freedom. Print adjustments can be made quickly and easily for a result that delights your customers and creates a strong incentive to buy.
We ensure the high quality of our food packaging through systematic quality management. The production of corrugated cardboard packaging for fruit and vegetables, for example, is strictly based on various ISO standards and the applicable legal and safety regulations. We use only 100% FSC® certified paper. Our certifications and standards include the ISO 9001 quality management system, the ISO 14001 environmental management system and the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety in Packaging. The Christiansen Print business area has also been recognised for its high safety and quality standards. In January this year Christiansen Print obtained its first certification in accordance with the Global Standards for Packaging and Packaging Materials (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard, BRCGS) for its Northeim site. The BRC Global Standard specifies the quality, product safety and hygiene requirements for packaging materials and packaging. Acquiring the BRCGS certificate helps companies provide proof of quality assurance. Certification ensures product safety for the entire supply chain and is transparent and comprehensible for THIMM Group customers.
THIMM’s packaging optimisation starts with detailed analysis of the existing fruit and vegetable packaging, including a comprehensive project plan. This identifies untapped potential and cost drivers. For example, reducing packaging material cuts down on logistics costs, making storage leaner and optimising volume utilisation. In order to make optimum use of existing storage space, your packaging standards should be adapted to the pallet dimensions. On request, we can develop packaging and palletisation proposals for our customers or even concepts for optimising the entire packaging range. You can make your brand visible with the right packaging strategy and strong branding. Our experienced packaging engineers will be happy to advise!
